Work

The smallest design decisions can be the difference between "effortless" and "rage-inducing" to a user. By combining an iterative process, user research, and human-centered design principles, I create seamless experiences that simplify the complex while delighting the user.

Modernizing a complex legacy system to improve usability

United States Tax Court (USTC)

Lead Product designer & researcher, Content strategist

The USTC needed a brand new case management system that would allow them to receive and track petitions, manage documents, schedule trials, create reports, track cases, send in-system messages, and more.

I led the design and development of this green field system, which included in-depth user research to understand the 12+ personas involved, mapping complicated user flows, and gaining the support and trust of court users through careful change management.

Helping nursing mothers with a robust feeding app

Babyation

Product designer, Brand & visual designer, Product owner

This national start-up launched a revolutionary breast pump that allows mothers to monitor and track their baby’s feedings, whether from pumping, nursing, or bottle feeding, all through a connected BLE mobile app.

Babyation needed help taking the first iteration of their app into production. When I came on board it was in need of a complete redesign to improve the usability, functionality, and overall visual design of the brand.

TIME named the Babyation pump one of the best inventions of 2022.
